Eddy Lane Elsberry, 19, Valley Springs, was taken from us suddenly, Friday Nov 2, 2012, after a traffic accident in Sioux Falls.

Eddy's Benefit is Sunday, December 16th in Brandon at Double D bar (across from the cop shop). Time and more details coming this weekend. We are currently in need of donations for things (afford able things) to be auctioned off. Anything would be great : art, gift cards, gift baskets, clothes, music, skate boards, absolutely anything. If you know anyone that would be willing to donate please let me know. Everyone is welcome to come celebrate his short but bright and eventful live. We hope you can come and share all of your stories and memories with his friends and family.

Funeral services will be held at Noon, Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Celebration United Methodist Church in Brandon, SD. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am.

Eddy Lane was born May 23, 1993, to Rosie Purcell and Keith Elsberry in Watertown.  He attended preschool in Lennox, Kindergarten in Canton, 1st grade in Beaver Creek,  MN, 2nd- 5th grade at Valley Springs Elementary in Valley Springs, and the rest of his high school career he attended Brandon Valley High in Brandon.

By the time Eddy Lane was old enough to hold a hammer, he worked with his father, Keith Elsberry, at Elsberry Construction learning the family business. He loved to work with his dad, and when he could, he would jump in to help his friends. Eddy would be there for a friend with no hesitation, doing whatever they needed.  He was always there with a mischievous smile, and occasionally a half baked idea for some fun - though his mom may or may not have approved.

Eddy Lane had a lot of passions in life, first and foremost were his friends and family. He touched a lot of people in his short life.  He grew up in the pits of the mud races cheering on the “Ugly Bro’s” – (his dad and Uncle Don).

Eddy was full of life, love, and laughter.  The fact that his friends, and there are so many of them, have been there for Eddy's mom and dad since this tragedy shows what am impact he has had on the people who were in his life. Please help us heal and celebrate Eddy's life by attending the fundraiser.  Bring your family and friends and be prepared to share your memories with all of Eddy's friends and family.  There is a guest book of which we hope everyone will take advantage.  Please write your stories and memories whether happy or sad, goofy or inspiring. They will mean so much later when his mom and dad sit down to read them.

Please help by donating so that his parents don't have that expense hanging over their head. There is this way to donate on line, a bit later , when we have worked out the details there will be a fundraiser with music, food and even an auction. We will let you know as soon as possible.  Even a little bit helps. Thank you!

You can also help the family with a monetary gift.  Please click the donate button on the left side and follow the instructions.  You will need a paypal account to do this.  Paypal is free to use.  You may also mail monetary gifts to Rosie as well.  Her mailing address is listed on the donation page.
